As I said before had sons crossman summit barrel shortened to 10, inches recrowned and screw cut for silencer , stripped de burred and re lubed the internals and sorted trigger, it's now a cracking little gun for the price doing 5p groups at 35 yards

Possibly a Gamo or SMK clone? I dont know anything about them but im sure someone will

XS/ bam 19 is a gamo 440 clone. Most have decent barrels (but not all) and are accurate.

That may well be the WT version. Looks like Walnut but is some sort of dipping effect I think... I want to replace the one I had out of pure nostalgia.

How can I find out about the finish. Sorry if it’s obvious but I know nothing!

Plastic breech....honestley Gamo are boiling my pee.... and I am a Gamo fan. Soon they will have nothing worth buying at all.

The finish looks like it has been painted on. I used furniture polish spray which brought it up a treat... its some sort of synthetic finish over wood. To be fair it looked good-well I liked it and I am looking for another.

Those were fixed sights at 6yds but I really do enjoy shooting it. Even more so than my HW99.
I’m still learning springers and scopes combos

Haha I have just purchased a 99 in .177.... I am still looking for the elusive 440 in a walnut stock though. I intend to tune one.

You could see if the finish is in an inconspicuous hidden area such as behind the butt bad. If so do a little sanding test.

I honestly thought it was some interesting grained piece of walnut but looking closely maybe it is an effect

That walnut effect has been done by hydro dipping ,a real stock with that grain would cost a fortune
