Buying parts from USA, for UK is customs an issue?

Yeah bills a good egg, setting up my reg, valve spring n hammer spring today, I cant hit that sweat spot just right, cut one hammer spring a bit short, the second one legal, just... the difference between spring return is horrendous, cut quartet coil, it'll drop .25 ft lbs, cut another 1/4 it'll drop .5ft lbs, another quarter .75 ft lbs... I want her bang on 10.5ft lbs so shes under 12 with Bisley magnums

I use Bill’s hammer springs, the lightest, as all my builds are low power for my limited 25-yard home range.

My transfer ports are also the Gen 1 Crosman Challenger’s and from the 1701P’s/1720T’s.

I have about the same Disco/2260 build as yours, but I am a big fan of Cothran’s parts, hence….

This one has a 14.6” Lothar Walther .177 barrel:

I had to pinch the stock off my sheridan 2260. As not one single person in uk or europe does disco stocks, and the america guys no longer post to uk. So I was gonna ask someone in america to order me one, I paypal the cash over, then use a courier to ship to uk, but its gonna be damed expensive that way

2260 and Disco stocks, the organic ones, are hard to find nowadays.

Alliance Hobby sells them (where I got mine), but lots of buyers have been very disappointed dealing with him lately.

Yes, a package that size would be very expensive.

I think its because hes a one man band, several custom makers have finished recently, such as discosRUs, gmac, mac1, crosman custom shop, B&M mods, along with daisy, completely underestimating how many people buy parts direct, they scored a massive home goal

Yes, a pity!

A declaration is needed and deliberately declaring something may have you in the poop especially the sender if its found to be declared as something its not . I don't think it would be in the sellers best interests to do it but some may . If it is for airgun then it will have to be declared as such .

Mundilair sent pellets as fishing weights and they were seized at customs .
What was the reason they gave , or did they just not bother to make contact with an explanation ?

Hi Pete, Just wanted to say thank you for spreading the good word about us! Thought you would like to know that John (my Father and business partner) has been semi retired for about 7-8 years. But he still works hard supporting me by making parts for me and making improvements to our website and he is an AWESOME knowledge base for me. Now we are mostly focused on parts, rather than repairs, since John is turning 80 this year and understandably wants some time to focus on his own collection. But we really appreciate that you've been with us for so long! Thank you.
Keep up the good work Heather 😊

In regards to the pellets ?

If they are not declared properly then it's a breach of the rules plus lead fishing weights of a certain size are banned in the UK.

They contacted the person they were being sent to and explained why they were seized.

Regulation 3 prohibits the importation of lead (including lead in compound or alloy) in the form of lead weights. Regulation 4 prohibits the supply of lead in the form of lead weights for the purpose of weighting fishing lines, and creates a presumption that a person supplying split shot does so for the purpose of weighting fishing lines, unless the contrary is shown. These prohibitions do not apply to lead weights of 0.06 grams or less or of more than 28.35 grams.

Most airgun pellets will weigh in at the dame weight of the banned fishing weights.
