BSA Meteor CLX

After having a bsa lightning clx at launch and been generally disappointed, its difficult to get excited about any new bsa springer especially with the "clx" tag stuck on the end.😢

I don't like it.
It's too far removed from its roots.
The Meteor should be an entry level gun, sized for an adolescent.
The Meteor tag should be applied to rifle which is a competitor to the HW30.
Stock looks like it was designed by someone in a fever dream; and that's me being polite.

Was in Woody's of Wembley yesterday when they were unpacking one of these. Chris let me have first look and...

I think the action was shown the polishing and blueing sections of the factory, maybe as part of a tour, but I don't think it spent any time there.

Didn't get to fire it, but part-cocking it the internals creaked and graunched like an old garage door. A few bits of swarf fell out the cocking slot...

But Its light and well balanced, handles nicely, made in Birmingham, £365, and, err, well that's the positives.

To add in here on subject of the BSA Meteor, anyone experience difficulty in sourcing the 'metal' open rear sight? Second-hand Meteors seem to have the plastic sight (with fibre optic) and finding a Meteor with all metal seems so rare??

Thanks

Meanwhile, at the bottom of a local well.....
