I’ve owned a couple in the past, they are a cracking gun, the accuracy on my .177 was probably the best I’ve ever owned. the handiness of the mmc IMO is lost compared to my mmc ultra and the reg is a potential issue but like said more than holds its own against modern guns.

If you've owned early Scorpion and Ultra MMCs then it's pretty much nothing new aside from a regulator and the lovely fore end on the stock.
The regs need servicing or replacement as will fail. If this is a private sale, definitely chrono it before paying! Very few people will take on a Hornet reg for service or rebuild, and not sure on which aftermarket regs are available these days, but probably a Huma one.
Cocking bolt can get graunchy if neglected, but simple to clean and re-lube.
Looks like very thin bluing on that reservoir, so check condition of that too. These are all probably 20+ years old now, so don't just bang 230 bar in it. End cap also looks incorrect for the model, but could be wrong.
Personally think that massive mod isn't in keeping with the rifle, but horses and courses! Also not sure if that is the rifle length or carbine from the pics, and carbine can limit type/size of mod used for end cap clearance, from what I remember of mine.
The LOP to the MMC button is not as natural as the Scorpion or Ultra, and can dictate your hold, but no big issue, depending on what / where you're shooting.
I'd maybe ask your unrelated Optics questions on a thread in the optics section else you might not get responses and risk jumbling up this thread.
Loads of threads on here about the Hornet, so try the search bar and you'll soon find loads of info.

I no it’s coming in good condition it’s on blade who makes the piece pipe mods on Facebook

If it performs how it should, the Hornet is a great rifle
I'd have another at the drop of a hat
Always wanted one but never found one so the scorpion was my fav didn’t no they had a reg in them

I had one from new and sold it when I gave it all up, it's the one rifle I wish I'd kept.

And very consistent as long as the reg is good.
Mine had been to John Bowkett for a blueprint. One of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned

Mine's een JB blueprinted too.
I'd be interested to hear anyone's trigger tuning tips for the Hornet? It has a Rowan adjustable trigger already but it's the internals I'm interested in fettling if JB doesn't touch these on a blueprint.

How you get hold John not heard of him for years how much is a blue print what you get done ?

Blueprinted 2017 at £175. Stood for 7yrs didn't work. Phoned John who told me he wasn't taking on any new work but would service it (£100) as a favour as we go back a long way. He's 78 now and is finally doing some of his own projects.

I’ve always wanted a Hornet but have never seen one with a left handed or ambidextrous stock ☹️.

Again, it was for a friend.
I wouldn’t expect to be able to get any work done now if you weren’t I don’t think.
Certainly glad I have one if they’re to become unavailable going forward.
