Hi all, the original mag I have is, (I believe) indexed via a cam in the mag from the trigger mechanism? It works fine but I only have the one so I’d like a spare or 2.
I’ve read that the newer style does away with the cam and utilises a pellet stop approach so it probably makes sense to go that route.
Are there any aftermarket makers of these or common enough for a wanted add maybe? (I don’t know what other models utilise the same mag it got a little confusing looking at it all) the hornet is obviously knocking on now.
the ones I can find are around £50. I was a bit surprised so I’m basically just being a bit of a tight arse.
Thanks in advance

You would have to remove the indexing pin to use the later magazines , getting hold of original ones in good condition would be nigh on impossible I would think .

Iirc I removed the indexing system from the bar on the trigger mech and the mag housing so I could use the modern style mags

Thanks guys, could you possibly tell me what’s involved in a little more detail and which magazines you use exactly, it’s very confusing with years online.

Get the 3d printed ones, they have a cutout so you can keep the indexing parts, or ally rotor bsa mags, they also have the cutout

Thank you, I have read that the super10 aren’t compatible though? As I said it got a little confusing.
Those will work with the indexing parts still in place.as will the alloy blue and red rotor bsa mags, the newer plastic rotor mags will need the indexing removing to work

Well like as @Sharpsman said, originals will be next to none existent now, and I don’t want to be pissing about with just one mag!.
But quick question…. Can the process be reversed? Not a deal breaker obviously.

lol it’s .22
2 with the cutout to work with your gun as it is
See the cutout in the second pic.

You can grind the same shape into the plastic mags but it's not as neat

😑Jesus so there is a way to use the newer mags with an original rifle 🤦🏼‍♂️
Thank eff for this place, it’s similar to the theoben slr mag/lugs/left right loading! If you didnt know you’d be stuck! Like I am!
Is it time for a wanted add I wonder? ☺️

If you want them drop me a pm to discuss terms then chuck up a wanted add, got to support a fellow mmc user

My 3D Printed 'Superten' versions have the cutout in the case and are compatible with the Hornet without removing the indexing parts. Let me know if you want any more info, happy to help.
Thank you, @Richie# helped me out with a couple of spares.
The hornet is new to me it’s nice to be learning 👍🏼
