Interesting to see how people are finding the new CLX Lightning on the range. A lot of justifiable comments like “ looks great, but how does it shoot “ got me thinking if we could share results.
Picked my .177 up yesterday, removed the rail and popped on a spare, very basic scope on to see how it shoots.
Quite impressed, considering it’s cold with a slight left to right breeze. At 32 yds rested it was pulling 5p groups with Barracuda 8s, and surprisingly Hades “stacked” 6 with 1 flyer. ( might find a use for them after all 😀)
As most of my guns, JSB heavies weren’t so good, anyhows here’s a pic ( ignore top left, was for zeroing and groups only not bothered about bull)
So far so good !

Hey good shooting pal I love my bsa,s I was shooting out back yesterday, god it was cold in Eccles but I managed using my scorpion to put a red pen mark on a cardboard box inside my target holder at 17 yards and put 10 .177 pellets in the dot and around the size of my thumb nail
Which I was pleased with so yes they are accurate

I went out last weekend with my .22 lightning clx to zero the scope on it at 30yds but there was a little breeze and hail so i never got a true reflection of its capabilities but it seems to like Hades.
Sadly my day was cut short by the weather and my golfers elbow started to flair up so made cocking the gun painfull enough to start not enjoying a springer again 😟

I won one in a draw a couple of weeks ago and agree with all that's been said, but I'm finding the trigger adjustment ineffective. There's a lot of travel on the second stage and I find it difficult to anticipate exactly when the rifle will fire!

Congratulations. Let's see it.
I have to say, my second stage is pretty crisp, if not a little heavy.
I haven't fiddled with it yet though

I haven’t got any photos but I took mine to Pete’s Airgun Farm a couple of weeks ago and at 30yrds it was putting 5 shots in a single hole group. It was then hitting 20mm spinners at 35+ yards with ease. This was all with a basic Hawke mildot scope with too thick a reticle. I’ve now swapped it for a vector Orion which I’m taking to Pete’s on Friday. I’ll zero it and take some photos of the groups with different pellets .

Sure, here it is with my TX200HC. 22.
AA Camargue sidelever currently being professionally serviced.

Hello, what do you mean "you removed the rail" exactly. Was thinking you removed the 13mm scope rail so how did you mount basic scope?
Just wondering, not had a BSA for a very long time.

The BSA 13mm rail bolt on top of a regular 11mm rail.
We just take it off so we can use regular mounts

Hello all
Had another outing with the CLX today at Ronnie Sunshine’s and it didn’t go too bad. The only real fault was me and 57 year old eyesight that plays up after a day at work 👀

5 shots at 22yrds . Not as good as when I was at Pete’s but not bad 👍
