I’ve got a slight itch for a Brocock Sniper/Safari XR in .177. It will be a used model if I get one, with side lever.

Are there any members that might be able to give me some real, user informed feedback at all please?

I have the. 22 Sniper XR in FAC in laminate. I like mine, it fits nicely, shoots well. It's a bit pellet fussy, but groups nicely at 50 meters with the right pellet.

If I was hyper critical the cheek piece could go a bit higher, but apart from that it's solid. No leaks, no problems. Happy with the quality at the price. Nice gun.

I have a hankering after a BRK Pathfinder in 22, but got to save the pennies first.

I do live a stones throw from the Daystate/BRK factory, so I could walk it over there if I had an issue.

Be aware of the strange "brrr" noise from the floating hammer when the gun is fired.
 
Owned a pathfinder (.22), very good shot count with the dumpy bottle, accurate enough between 25-45 yards. Consistent over the crono and I liked the compactness of it.
Mags are stupidly expensive but so are most these days. Grab some after market ones. I’d have another one
 
I have a laminate version which is absolutely spot on very accurate and reasonably light sounds a bit like a wet fart when fired but you get used to that would I recommend definitely yes
 
I got the laminate in 22 really nice rifle as mentioned above cheek piece could go higher but I’m a shorty so fits me fine trigger is very good the sound is deffo wet fart territory mines got the BRK moddy on and it’s super silent, I chopped the pathfinder in against this it’s a much better gun imo

I've the sniper XR in .177, I have found it a bit pellet fussy (as above) but once sorted very capable gun.
I think mine has longer cheekpiece pillars.
I've not used it as much recently, due to it being a bit bulky for carrying around a wood.

On paper, about everything I wanted from a gun (maybe not size), but for some reason I don't really 'love' it.
Mine is the synthetic stock version.
Possibly the fact it is not some lovely wood stock, is a bit pellet fussy (which often goes with easily upset), and those £80 mags makes me look at cheaper guns with respect.
I don't mind the noise, but it is a noticeable action.

I too fancied a Ghost, just outside my normal S/H purchase budget.

I’m using CARM mags just as good as factory and cheaper also if I put the huggett magma on it sounds much louder
 
I've original mags, as it came with an aftermarket one (Elemental Objects) that was basically worn out, I was not aware of the Carm at the time, and needed at least two mags.

Great feedback regarding my considered calibre, thanks. I’m also wondering about its capability at greater distances, ie up to 100 yards (and possibly beyond with kind wind☺️).
I hear you about the pellet fussiness, but do you have any experience of having stretched its legs out a bit?

Hi, I have had mine in .177 for over a year now and it was bought from a forum member. I have only tried 3 different pellets in it, but will try many more based on what other members have said ( suggestions welcome ). I have used it a fair bit in my own garden on targets and rats and I must say it is very consistent but has been used up to a maximum of 37m on targets ( shooting from within the house on a table on windless bright days ) very effectively. I would also like to hear how anyone else has fared over longer distances. It does not have a silencer/moderator on it yet but that will be looked into soon. I can highly recommend it.
