I took advantage of the recent heads up to get some replacement 25mm and 26mm HW piston seals. I had no immediate need, but a few quid saved is always appreciated.

My main FT rifle is a HW97KT with some 26mm V-Glide internals and a Brit Seal on the piston since June 2023. It's had a few pellets through it and had it's share of silverware (3rd in the EFTC 2024, 6th in WFTC 2025, 1st NEFTA Classic 25 & 26, 1st BFTA Champs 24 & 26, won various GP's and winter leagues then practice etc). So a few pellets over the 3 years...

It's had two absolutely soakings in the last month or so, definitely time for a full strip and see how everything is going inside. I don't strip it that regularly, if it's knocking targets over, grouping and behaving on the chrono, I leave it.

The point of the post. The Brit Seal looked brand new, zero signs of wear, it looked identical to the new one. Once back together, 770 fps as usual.

Boringly brilliant, I'm starting to think I'll never need another!

Brit seals are in my opinion probably the best you can get these days 🙂👍

Thank you @Martz, we really appreciate your positive comments.

Mikey and I worked really hard on this project and I think I can say it from both of us that it puts a smile on our faces when we get a post like this about @Brit Seals .

I’ve taken my hw97kt apart twice to fit a tbt kit recently. The first time to fit the kit and the second time to fit the slip washer I forgot to fit the first time.

When I saw the seal on the first time I noticed some burn marks on it. Though I didn’t have one to replace it with. I’ll order some for next strip down.

I got an Aussie Seal for my HW45 which has been fitted. If Brit Seal started making these it would be ideal for so many of us.

As it stands we never will as we have a gentlemans agreement with Tony Leech that we won't make ant seals under 25mm. This is so his reduced piston conversions don't get ripped off and we're totally fine with that.

The other thing is, aftermarket HW45 seals can make the guns go over the legal limit. They're not then firearms, they're prohibited weapons and it has much more serious consequences. We really weren't comfortable with it.

Credit where it's due, great product at a more than fair price that seemingly lasts forever! Oh and they perform.
Bloody told @Blackmax we needed to add a little self destruct to them so they only last a few tins of pellets 😂😂

Really kind words mate, thank you very much ❤️

Switch to a different colour and call them Brit Seal 2.0, everyone needs the latest and greatest :ROFLMAO:
