I would personally turn it round and get a piece of sticky back foam to put on it which will fill any gaps and protect your stock.

Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s my ocd with mechanical empathy but I’ve always winced at the thought of anything supported from my cylinders.. perhaps they’re all good for a little pressure pushing at the screw fittings.. Check it will clear before purchase as my stud mount bipod covers the port.Ahh I thought about that,trouble is it covers the fill port…. I’ve decided to send it back and get a bipod that’s suitable for a sling stud instead of converting it to the picatinny rail
