On Monday afternoon, Countryway Gunshop advertised a Gamo GX-40 rifle package in the trade section on here at a great price. On Tuesday morning I called them and ordered one. No problems there. It went smoothly and they were really easy to deal with. They’re in Kent and I’m in Stockport so I needed an RFD transfer. When I mentioned this they told me it wasn’t a problem but that their local Parcelforce depot had stopped collecting from them for the time being due to strikes and the time of year and it would probably be early next year before it got to me
. I gave them all the details they needed for the transfer and paid for everything. I then resigned myself to the long wait. Today I got a call from A. Branthwaite Gunsmiths who I’d decided to use to receive the rifle for me. I thought it was to tell me that Countryway had been in touch to make the arrangements but no, it was to tell me that the rifle had arrived at their shop

. It took about 28 hours between ordering it and me trying it out in the back garden.
Thank you to both of them and as I’m a happy chap, I’ll even say thanks to Parcelforce. They do get it right sometimes.
