Best hand pump?

Initially bought a Vevor one for about £30 that was ok'ish but always niggled me. You spend a fortune on your guns so why risk ruining them with poor moisture removal etc?
Bought a Hills mk5 with Drypack and it's not something I ever think about any more.
I’ve no had good luck with vevor, no idea why but anything of theirs I buy just breaks

Many will disagree but I have two of the Ebay stirrup pumps, less than £20 each. Both still work after years and are a great fallback if my compressor fails. Also I can recharge away from home easily.
You did do up the bleed screw on your pump? 🤣
Yeah I had it apart and back together a few times, so much metal swarf and general crap inside the pump I’m not keen on using it anymore

Vevor ones work fine and come with spare seals , my mate got the hills one and went on a rant saying it's British made ect . He's got a kral that he fills with it 😂

I believe the Dry Pack system to be an expensive gimmick, as trying to remove a significant amount of water from the air by passing it as a vapour rapidly through the filter medium is ridiculous.
Once the air has been drawn into the pump and compressed, the water vapour becomes a saturated solution, forming droplets of water. These can then be collected by a suitable filter between the pump and gun.

I use a cheap pump from Amazon to fill up at home always the previous day or at least a few hours before im shooting.
I can pump up to 200 bar without to much bother but I then use my 3ltr bottle to top up to 230bar which is then placed in the car.
The two places i shoot regularly both fill guns for £1 or 50p so if I need a fill up I’ll use those facilities and keep my 3ltr bottle for top ups.
It works out very handy and keeps costs to a minimum.
Imo even if you can only manage say 160-180bar with a pump it’s still good exercise anyway

I have had two pumps but have never actually used either. I bought a Hill MkV many moons ago and it has not even been assembled, let alone used. Before I got to use it I saw a bottle at a decent price, so bought and used that. A few years later, I got a compressor that will fill guns and bottles.

The other pump was a few years ago when, I think it was on AGF1, someone spotted Amazon were flogging Chinese ones for a fiver, so I bought one. Again, sat in the box for a few years then I thought I'd assemble it and see if it actually worked. No assembly or usage instructions, I'd either lost them of never had any, and aI couldn't get it to work.
No idea if it was me being dense, I'd lost part of it (the box was open and the contents had fallen out a few times :ROFLMAO:) or what. 🤷‍♂️

Whatever, ended up at the tip. As said, it's possible to get a compressor for the same price as a new Hill pump, I'd expect. Same with second hand dive bottles, which is what I picked up.
