This was my first time at a BRGB event and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great atmosphere, lots of old faces, even more new faces and the fact they run it for two classes, WBRF for those of us with 'all the kit' and Sporter, for those wanting to use non WBRF guns, rests etc, means that lots of newbies can join in.

Each shooter shot 3 cards, the first round of details were relatively mild weather wise, but as detail 5 started, so did the wind, absolutely insane conditions, with wind flags literally spinning in their stands, left, right, front, back and then full spiral. Absolutely bonkers conditions, with even the top shooters struggling to score over 240, then as quick as it arrived for details 5 & 6, by detail 7 it had dropped again, to near a mill pond.

As with any competitions the wind can be the luck of the draw, so where shooters on those windy details suffered, the following shooters excelled.

I was chuffed to bits to get 4th place in the LV class and looking forward to the HV comp tomorrow.

A massive thank you to all the team at Benchrest GB for all their hard work organising and running the shoot today.

I'll report back tomorrow with the HV results, in the meantime here's the LV and me, concentrating.
