Applying CCL Oil

Just curious what the best way to apply CCL to a walnut stock? Do you use a lint free cloth or simply rub it in with your fingers? Thanks
 
Local RFD advised me just to apply a couple of light dots of CCL to each side of the stock. Rub in and the dab off excess with kitchen towel.

Then, as above, rub in well with the heel of your hand. Repeat, as necessary.
 
You might get blisters if you rub it too hard though....lol
It wasn't totally a joke, I did getting a gloss finish on my sons R10 stock....with the ccl the longer & harder you rub it you can get any finish from Matt to gloss, great stuff ,& a little goes a long way, I refinished 4 stocks from one small bottle.
