anyone has the 'new' (2014>) Feinwerkbau Sport?

Owned 2 and worked on one other one belonging to a friend

Build quality better than anything I've ever had
Looks, very unusual, though they handle far better than they look

They were never officially imported into the UK (due to the importer at the time, thinking they were just too dear, and when we tried to record the amount and serial numbers of UK rifles on the other forum, we found no more than about 20, so certainly rare here.

Oddly designed inside too. They're a 30mm piston, which is very heavy so need careful tuning to work ok at sub12. Not exactly helped by the fixed guide and bulge at the front of the piston, being different diameters

Sorry no pics, as they're on an old laptop.

Purchased on sale around $500, so about the same as a '95 these days. Very high quality. All day accurate w/ QYS domes. If AA made a breakbarrel this would be it, Not one of those ar...errr..Precihole things.

I could never bring myself to get past the look of that rear sight.
Having owned a 124, back in the day, it just struck me as an abomination on an otherwise good looking gun.

Years ago, I described it as having the style cues of an Austin Princess
Looks, isn't its best asset

The eye of the beholder sir.
The Austin Princess was a frumpy, dull and completely forgettable old thing.
Think G class Mercedes.

Having owned 2, I still don't like the looks. They could have made it look so much better

But as the old saying goes, you don't look at the mantle piece whilst poking the fire
They handle and shoot rather nicely, so the looks become less important

And I owned a G Wagon and never found it bad looking

I did some work on one for a customer, i must say it i thought ithe action was better made than the old one, shot nice to, i had to make a mod reblue it and remove the rear site assembly, which was a real pita to do as everything is hardened on the breech block which is good but not when you come to do work on them, the stock design is an accuired taste, also the trigger guard is plastic which spoils it, i made one from alloy for it but never again way to much work

Have had my early 70s Feinwerkbau 127 sport from new 50+ years, i have never seen a new version here.

I understood that the plastic trigger guard was a bit of a poke in the eye for all those that complained about the trigger on the 124/127 models. TBH if someone hadn't pointed out the New Sport's trigger guard was plastic I wouldn't have noticed until disassembly.
