Anyone changed over to QYS pellets? How do you find them? I use AAFD .177 4.52's, what would be the equivelent size?
Very interested to hears peoples views.
Thank you

YES... excelent.... Easily on par with JSB's (and better in some instances,,)

Regarding AAFD.. worst pellet I have ever seen in a HW100... swapped them to JSB Heavies and its a different rifle.. (a mate who asked me to check his rifle for him)..

Yes some time ago. At the club I attended at the time one of the members brought some in and we loved them. We did some extensive, semi-formal testing . and found them to be the most accurate, consistent of them all added to which this seemed to be across a wider range of guns. Indeed we were so impressed we clubbed together and placed a bulk order.

Yes! Got tired of tin-to-tin inconsistency with JSB and for me the QYS are just as accurate. Can't wait to try the .22 when it finally hits these shores.

I've not found them to be anymore accurate as to what I already use from 15 to 50 yards

I think there better made and look alot cleaner and would rate them to someone who is struggling with the other brands from the poor batches that seem to be seeping out more often

Heard so much about how good they are and if ever they bring out a lightweight express pellet I,ll give them a try.

No, haven’t got a barrel that shoots them. I will try some in the future just to keep checking for the holy grail pellet (for each barrel).

Since buying a set of scales for my centrefire reloading I've discovered how bad AADF really are, they're all over the shop with their weight consistency.
RWS Superdomes fair better in that respect, anyway, QYS seem to be the better pellet even over my "old faithful" FTTs through my HW barrels, next time I'm out I'm trying the QYS through my new R10.

I've got some in my inventory, but I'm yet to try them. I may see how they are in the Maverick as I keep hearing good reports, and they're always easy to get.

Yep, got some of the domed heavies for my Crown, excellent results and far better than the JSBs in that barrel. I wouldn't have considered them but they were a freebie when I bought the Crown new.

Many friends over the years have recommended and stayed with AADF and JSB's. I have struggled to identify really accurate pellets with them.

I switched over to QYS in a big way when more of my guns find QYS easier to pair up to and offering the most accuracy and consistency. When I was buying, the extra bonus being they were also cheaper than AA and JSB's.

I don't look back now. I now have 10 batches of different QYS's from Streamlines to Heavies. Nearly all are as accurate as another batch and certainly good enough for hunting. However, there is always that one or two batches that are special with one holer accuracy. These are marked and saved for dedicated guns.

Great comfort with QYS is their consistency. With AADF, one batch can vary widely to another and recent user comments have been quite frightening,

Pellets are specific to guns, so there is no point in "changing over to QYS" unless your gun prefers them after testing, and I'm sure there will be as many people change "off of them" as "change on to them" in this respect ;)

The single biggest mistake people make with trying pellets, is not testing enough, or forgetting batches matter, and a gun can be great with one batch, but just mediocre with another of the same pellet.

The problem here is QYS make very reasonable pellets, I have literally never seen a deformed skirt etc. and nothing I have shot them in doesn’t do OK with them, but they don’t compare positively to JSB Heavy at 50yds. Also the current UK importer has some very restrictive supply criteria and dictates minimum pricing seemingly.

My Alpha Wolf .177 hugs the QYS heavies with love 🥹. Very clean and never a damaged skirt and the tin actually twist locks.
Are they 9.56 4.49 ? Do you find they group well after 50m ?
I'm pellet testing with my new Alpha wolf 177 at the min .

Strangely my HW100 genuinely is not pellet fussy and regularly use AAFD to shoot at 20meters with my FWB 300s with good results!

I did
Best results I have had were with the streamline heavies, easily as good as equivalent JSBs if not better.
Quite popular now shame they have gone up £5 a tin to £17 since I started using them🤨
