Any suggestions what I could do with my plastic open front sight

For years I have been thinking what I could do about the plastic front sight on my Diana as it is the only part that I would like to change, some just go scope only and job is done, but I really like open sights and I can't think of an alternative so as you might be able to see in the pics that I have modified it from the factory sight.

So, my question is should I leave it as it is as it works OK and is strong and light (if it is not broke don't fix it) or do any of you guys have a suggestion how I could improve it or am I just stuck with it if I don't go scope only?

Could a Weihrauch HW77 type front catch be fitted?
Does not look too different in design.

so, it is the complexity of the part that is the problem as you well know and that is why it was cast it plastic for lack of a better word
now the other picture a dovetail could be added and a globe sight fitted
they make dovetail pieces that screw on to barrels not easy to find

barrel size

so measure the distance from the center of the barrel to the top of the front sight
now if you were to change to a globe sight that distance would have the be close the insert center
i have globe sights that i could measure from
if you used the magnet trick you would make a cover and fit a sight on top of it
it is the search for off the shelf parts to do the job

you have an interesting idea and now you search for ideas to make it come true
hell, it is not an overnight sort of deal an idea morphs to another and another it is how it goes and all the time you wonder will it work
now if you have a CNC machine, mill and lathe it would be easy but only 1% of us do
so we find off the shelf parts and hope it doesn't look like a blind idiot did the work
air venture make a muzzle weight that can use a globe sight but it is 15mm ID the globe sight is an odd ball dovetail size and has tobe used and it take Anschutz inserts so a post could be used
shimming the barrel can only be done so much but can be done

but the first part is the cocking arm retention
