I normally record this series and let it wash over me on play back in the early evening.

However, maybe it’s just me, but this week Irita and new boy Danny are fecking irritating.

Anyone else watch it ?
 
Drives me mad. Over the series they've visited a few places round here. You try going in and get the discounts they get with a camera crew. No bloody chance. It's all made up as usual for the tv.

Yes I think you’re right.

So the owner won’t discount something form £85 to £30 then their moment of fame and company advertising won’t be shown on national TV.

So 15 mins of fame is worth £55 for sure.

I sometimes think it’s just a merry go round with dealers just buying and selling on to other dealers and on etc etc

She definitely comes within my, "Not quite sure exactly what it is, but totally would." category. As does Christina Trevanion. In fact, they can both try polishing up this old antique together. I think we'd all be pleasantly surprised at how much of a restoration of the original they could manage.🤣

I watch it on and off and the most annoying is that old Scottish woman 🫣. ... Marked up at £100 and she plays the sad fiddle and offers £5 🤣🤣🤣

Hello, Most are repeats so when i start watching i have seen before and switch over, Even the Flog it/ Dickens real deal/ are repeats, When the word Expert is mentioned on a valuation even a monkey could do better
 
Bought a few bits and bobs at auctions and shops over the years. Many do er uppers.
I have never come across a dealer who offer the discounts they get, anything to get their face and shop on telly, we have a shop near here that has signs on the door and every damn wear proudly proclaiming “No Discounts/NO Trade” yet somehow the Beeb arrive and the discounts are humongous.
It never ceases to amaze me how many times they fail to make a profit

It’s all for charity, most times they would be better off not buying anything and making a donation.
Slightly less compelling viewing though🤣

Yep, watch most of them and unfortunately it’s been / is being driven down to the lowest common denominator. A few of the ‘experts’ are worth watching and still have respect for themselves, others…?
 
Hello, The Antiques Roadshow is still my favourite, I grew up in the same Village as one of the Presenters, from a Farming family i know very well, They use to let me go shooting when i was a teenager , oh happy days
