Another new Pard…..

Chaps any ideas where I can get a replacement from lens cap the hinge on my lads broke a couple of days after it arrived Optics Warehouse keep saying that they need a special tool to take the old one off and to fit a new one. I have a feeling that they are being economical with the trough. The lad was filming the scope when the lens cap came of the hinge just snapped so I’m happy he did bugger all wrong.
Just had a similar problem with mine, (my fault) , I slipped against a fence while out on my permission.
I emailed the supplier and he said to contact Sportsman Gun Centre.
I’m going to have a look today and try see what’s involved.
I’ll keep ya posted.

It depends which bit of the hinge is broken. If the hinge on the bit that is permanently fitted to the scope has snapped then the unit has to go to Sportsman Gun Centre (Newport) for repair. After problems with the (poor) design of the original lens cap assembly Pard redesigned it and the new version, although much more substantial, does need a special tool to fit it. If the hinge on the bit that opens has snapped then talk to Ben at Newport SGC and he may even send you that bit FOC (you pay the postage). ben@sportsmanguncentre.com.

Thanks, the bit that’s broken on mine is the catch that holds the cover closed, so I may be lucky.
I’ll phone them later today, let you know how I get on.
