You can buy pretty much anything you want from Amazon and get next day delivery with Prime. You also get the extras included in the price. Go on Tik tok and buy something and you’re looking at nearly £5 for anything next day delivered. Amazon’s damn cheap really

As an OU student my wife gets it free for 6 months ( if it is free).

Students at UK universities including The Open University can get a free 6 month trial of Amazon Prime that comes with free next day Prime delivery, countless kindle/ebooks - useful for research and referencing. music and films to stream. Priority advanced access to the sales.

She has used it for OU based items plus other items . Not sure if we would keep it after the 6 months is up.

Got an email today from the nice people at Amazon telling me that the TV service I was paying for is now coming with adverts unless I pay to not see them. Thought I already was!!!! Still I look on the bright side when they say it's so that they can invest in an even better service. Looking forward to it. Poor old Jeff must be down to his last few billion.
So they can invest even more into sending rich ******s into space more like :ROFLMAO:

Horrible company to deal with. I started watching a movie we rented the other day and we were interrupted. 48 hours have passed tough luck have to pay again just to watch the other half....jog on Jeff :ROFLMAO:

But you can't beat cheap sometimes can you so here we are using it haha

Hi
I have cancelled my subscription, I can watch lots of streaming services with adverts for free and the Prime delivery stuff usually takes at least 48 hours to get to me anyway.
K

Getting a bit fed up of all the price rises and quality of service reductions. I’ve had Amazon prime for years but I’m seriously considering cancelling it along with Netflix.

If it helps to get Bezos into space then I don’t mind paying a little bit extra on my subscription fees…

You never know, one day we might get him to stuck up there…
or better still, he might land with a not-so-gentle thud upon his return! 😆

we had that with netflix and now with amazon, so we dont pay the extra and put up with the ads.. its bad enuf you get the crap ads but i reckon they throttle the streaming for the basic package as well..! since these changes have had stuttering and non loading and its not our broadband at fault.

The success of streaming has been it's downfall to the consumer. All the companies pulled the rights in for their own stuff and set up their own platforms and here we are been ripped off now with multi subs. Netflix and Amazon is as far as I'll go.

Thats the same with Virgin/Sky/AppleTV and probably every other streaming company

I have had money applied back to my credit card within minutes of dropping the sealed package off at a shop or locker. I dont know any other company that refunds unwanted goods before they have been received back and checked

I must be in a minority
I find their delivery service excellent 99.9% on time.
Refund service excellent.
TV wise, there’s not a huge amount I watch but if the ads are like the ones on Freevee it’s no problem.
We all have the choice to watch or not watch, pay or not pay. Take Prime or not

I watched the remake of "Total Recall" a couple of days ago. At first, it was as normal but after a while, odd pop ups at the bottom started appearing. Like subtitles.
At first it was the text that comes up at the start the movie then onto random stuff. No adverts as we know them.

With the amount of packages we get out our house we will keep Prime. I always considered the other features as an added benefit and never have used them much.

I've only recently got Amazon Prime over the Xmas period and that's only because our son has added our address to his account. Oh good I thought, at last I can now watch the new series of top gear. But how wrong was I? Apparently now I can only watch one episode and If I want to watch the whole series I'll have to pay again to somewhere, but there's no chance of that happening. Because I always thought that the newest series of top gear can be viewed on Amazon Prime so long as you have an account 🤔
Do you mean The Grand Tour?

Yes, I think so. I was just told that when the boys left the BBC because of what Clarkson did, that there was a new series starting on Amazon Prime with Clarkson, Hammond and May.
Yep Thats the Grand Tour. I can watch every episode on my Prime Account - just checked and all are available

I wasnt aware of the Household but it does seem the Prime account holder has to tick a number of boxes - might not have ticked TV

I wonder if you have been given access to TV as a taster but not have full access so to speak

Randomly I watched that the weekend and had the same.
Eventually worked it out as random subtitles to words on pictures/ posters in the film.
Annoying wasn't it 😕
