Evening all, bought the scope in the not too distant past. To be honest, I've not been overly impressed with the LRF since i've bought it but just assumed it wasn't very good rather than their might be a fault.

For numerous reasons tonight was the first time i've actually taken this scope out at night.

All other LRF's I have or have used, give a pretty "sharp" splash, whether it be a line or a shape, it's well defined. After having a play with the lite in the dark tonight, it's splash resembles a square that is heavily blurred vertically, it's not a nice clear/sharp square as I would have expected.

Can any owners tell me if this is normal for this model? it seems off to me and a mis-focussed laser would answer qute a few questions in regards its performance.

Thanks for your help

I have not got one myself, but I have watched a few videos of them in use & I am pretty sure that the splash is sharper than that.

cheers for your replies Gentlemen, might be a trip to the gun shop in store for this scope then.

I know it's been a while, but just to give an update in case anybody looks back on this with a similar issue.......

A little while after posting this I got in touch with the RFD I bought it from, they forwarded my e-mail to the supplier and they agreed something wasn't right.

Unfortunately I've been busy with work so it took a bit longer than I wanted to return the scope to them. Either ways, I finally got it into them. about a week and a half has passed and I got a phone call this morning to say it's back. To be honest I'm fairly chuffed with that turn around time considering the scope has to be sent back to the supplier, receipted in, tested/diagnosed, repaired, tested again and then sent back.

Apparently they've replaced the laser module and re-calibrated the LRF system to the new module. No fuss or messing around what so ever, so well happy with that(y)

Hopefully fetching it tomorrow so we'll see if my woes with the LRF are finally over!
