They are no good.

I bought one off Vector Air and the 'seal' blew after a few bottles of gas, maybe 3 8gram cans then a couple of 12s then back to 8 and ... leak.

Sent it back.

It was returned with a new seal installed, alledgedly, and it still leaked. Then Vector ignored me.

Then I wrote to Alias in Canada.

Long one short: Their man there 'Dave' eventually sent me a new one for free. straight out of the box ... it leaked with the first 8 gram can. Same withg a 12. then it won't puncture an 8 and the 12s leak.

I have tried pretty much every cartridge seal that there is to buy and then some extra bits off of ebay that aren't technically CO2 can seals but are of similar dimensions and materials, loads of 'em and nothing works.

The second one isn't as bad as the first though as it will still fire all types of projectiles, but it hisses because of the leak and doesn't last very long. At first, I couldn't hear the leak in gun 2 though, but it emptied without being fired, so ...

Those blowfish caps didn't work in either gun though, although PTFE did do with gun 1 wearing 12 gram cans but not for long. Matbe 2 cans.

Gun 1 when loaded with a capsule instantly evacuates all the gas when it is pierced, so it isn't only the can seal that ois ****ed on that piece, all of the upper valve/firing pin assembly must be trashed.

Gun 2 still works with a 12 gram can but leaks.

'Dave' at Alias also ignored me after a week or so of 'two and forth' trying to address the problem.

So, it is my contention that these things are no good at all. The only videos available are from people trying to sell them, or one hitters on you tube that never follow up. When I mentioned these things and more to Dave at Alias is when he blanked me.

They know these things break and they should be pulled. Bad design. Can't admit that one though can we Alias?

And the 'strange' thing. My old gun 1 from Vector Air had a newer serial number than the replacement new gun 2 from Alias. So Alias stock is holding older models than vector is selling. Or folks send them back because they don't work.

There we go then, I have two little GEMs (and all the other crap they sell to use different ammo) neither of which work properly and neither the vendor or manufacturer want anything to do with them/it since being payed.

So my advice?

Don't buy one.

Merry Christmas everybody :)

Also worth noting for everyone here that knows delivering 'guns' is nonesense other than spying and/or stealing money.

When I sent my little GEM back to Vevtor Air for the repair they didn't do, after I requested a mail back return stamp/key/code/& or etc., they simply told me to return the weapon via Royal Mail at the post office, and to label the package as 'sporting goods'.

And about a week after they said they would return it, fixed, they sent it back via the Royal Mail in a normal, regula,r post no signature package ... and this little nugget is just there for all the cops that monitor this forum? That's right, Vector Air post firearms back and forth illegally, alledgedly and when it might be to their advantage? - Ho Ho Ho ...

If it's any consolationas regards illegal posting of 'weapons' then Alias out of Canada are as guilty as Vector out of Northhampton?, are ... right?

Illegal, lawful. Lawful or illegal? Ho hum ... scratches chin : /

Which one is and which one ain't?

Contract, anybody?

As I understand it RFDs are only prohibited from posting guns at the point of sale, as sales must be face to face . No issue with posting a gun that has been returned for repair.
