Air Arms TX200HC

I think it depends what you want to use it for…

Both of mine have been set up for HFT/pest control! I chose Optisan scopes, a 4-16x40 CP and the other a fixed 10x44.

In terms of moderator I have the AA Q-tec on my .177, that’s probably the easiest option!

On my .22 I have a 1/2inch UNF adapter and a Weihrauch XL-K.

Not sure there is much difference if I’m honest!

Here’s the link to the adapter!

Fitting a silencer negates the benefit of going for the carbine except for making it a bit more neighbours-friendly when backyard plinking... just my opinion!

Regarding scopes, it depends on your budget. I've bought various scopes and switched to what I consider best value in their price range. In the £100-150 range, I have a 3-9x40IR AO Nikko Panamax on my HC. A 3-12x44 Vector Veyron would work, or the 4-16x44 Veyron if you want a little more magnification. Going up in price, I have a 3-12x44i SF Optisan EVX (since discontinued but you might look for a used EVX or EVE) on my full-length TX200. The 3-12x EVX is as long as I can use without obstructing the loading port. A 4-16x44 EVX is too long for me. Optisan CPs are overpriced - not impressed by the optics. I'd also consider MTC... and I've dumped Hawke.

I did have a moderater on my HC but in the end went back to the original plem seemed more accurate but then again I'm a crud shot

I know some people have already said but what I will say is I only ever use the mods when I very rarely shoot in the garden!

I've got a MWS moderator made by mattw975 on here. I'd reccomend one!

Scopes are a personal choice, I've a Hawke sidewinder 30SF 6.5-20x44 on mine currently, as a bit of a do it all scope.

I've got the AA short Q-Tec on my HC for garden use, and an Optisan CP 10x32 scope, happy with both.

As for mods I only use the hugget atom, it's small and takes of the crack. Utings are selling the nikko diamond 3-9x40 (30mm tube) for £80 bargain for a new scope. Fixed parallax but like the leupolds the front ring and lens carrier are not glued so easy to adjust.

Another vote for one of Matt Winsers moderators, beautifully engineered, light and effective.

Its a .177 so i wont need an adapter i think its 1/2 inch unf treads there.

So it is not much difference betwen whit and whitout?

Sorry bud, I should’ve been clearer.

The HC has a female 1/2 Inch UNF, in order to screw on a “standard” non-AA moderator like the weihrauch XL-K you need a male to male adapter like the one I shared, regardless of calibre.

Does that make more sense?

I think it's personal preference if you want to use one do so. I've got a tx hc and my preference is not to fit one. Up to the individual

Sorry this makes it sound like I’m a big proponent of using a Moderator on the HC. As I said before I don’t really use one at all, only for garden use.

Hi :) Which silencer can you recommend for a TX200HC. And which scope for the same rifle?
What brands of scope cam you get in Norway?
I always go secondhand but better quality like Leupold, Bushnell etc.

I got an HC because I wanted it to be shorter. I don’t see the point of moderators on springers at best, but when you buy the shorter version, why ruin it with a pointless addition on the front?
i was tinking for garden plinking, but i am not shure if its much difference.
