Recently my old daystate air ranger developed a slow leak from the pressure gauge, a simple fix thought I just change the bonded washer which I did , still it leaked 😑 so I purchased a replacement gauge from "lane" complete with seals , still it leaks .
After a little internet searching I came across the same problem but this time with a solution..... loctite the threads.
Has anyone on here tried this ? If so did it work ?

Hi There. I would not loctite it.. yes, you can remove small bolts after, as the glue does not have much of an area to bond with, but a gauge... I doubt you would ever be able to remove it..

Don’t use threadloc on it. Are there stainless steel inserts into the block which the gauge screws into as these can leak? Not sure is your model has these.

Perhaps some pictures of the gauge set up to give us a better idea.

Just a quick note on any thread locker. There are lots of diffrent grades of strengths. On lager diameter threads a higher strength maybe more suitable but small screws with blind holes on guns for example a low strength will probably be more appropriate. Just remember that screw / bolt will need to come back out one day.

Let us know the outcome please.
Just a quick thank you to all who replied positively to this post .
I'm pleased to report the PTFE tape suggested by wing commander as done the trick.
It's been over a day since wrapping the thread with PTFE and filling with air and the gauge hasn't dropped at all 🙂
