Hi. Could anyone recommend 30mm adjustable weaver mounts please?
I'm struggling with a scope where I run out of travel with elevation. Unusually, for me at least, poi is too high indicating the scope needs to be raised at the front. Any input would be much appreciated.👍

FX No Limits would fit your needs. Robust and simple to set up. If they're not what you're after, then the Burris rings with the MOA inserts are quite effective as well.

I'll take a look 👍

FX No limits as mentioned, or Eaglevision do a set of adjustable weaver mounts. I’m guessing it is for a PCP as most springers have dovetails so even cheap one from Aliexpress would probably work.

Yes, for PCP. I have my eye on the ATP90 but they are expensive. Around half the price of those would be ideal. I'll take a look at what Eaglevision has to offer 👍

How high are present mounts ? At what distance are you trying to zero ? What are current mounts ?
I ask because w/ a 30mm tube you have way more adjustment than any of my 25mm tubes - I've no trouble zeroing, even scopes with only 60MOA total travel @ 8 yards near zero/ 25 far zero....sumpin' amiss. Never had to shim a scope in my life either...

FX No Limit get my vote. Have them on my Crown and can thoroughly recommend. Looked at EagleVision and, I’m sure they’re good but, ouch, they’re flipping expensive!

The scope is a Hawke vantage side focus. I initially put it on a falcon fn19 but preferred the original scope so then put it on an Airacuda Max initially with high weaver mounts, then medium and then Hawke low mounts. All have an impact point inches high at 20 yards and I run out of top turret adjustment. I've never had that issue before, so I'd like to keep the scope on the Airacuda but obviously there's an issue and that's why I think adjustable mounts are an option

Scope optically centered before mounting ? Does scope have a zero stop, which would limit turret travel ? Barrel O.K. ? You should have way more 'n enough clicks to dial a 20 yard zero... before you mess with other mounts...

Have you tried a different (known good) scope on this rifle that is shooting high?
As @chouchin66 says, doesn't sound like mounts should be where you're looking to fix the problem from what you've said so far

@Hanibal , I just had a peek online , at your rifle - it wouldn't take but an R.C.H.of extra up pressure on your barrel band to give you a major headache & kick your shots mucho high... Have a gander.👍😊

I had a veyron on the Airacuda before and it was fine. I'm thinking that maybe the scope (Hawke Vantage 30 WA), is possibly overkill for a sub 12 PCP? I don't know. I tested it this afternoon at 30 yards and it's still shooting high. However, I did find that my choice of pellet wasn't so accurate at that distance but even then poi was high. So if it isn't the mounts, I've tried 3 different sets, all different heights, is the scope a poor choice for this rifle? As I've previously stated, I've not encountered this kind of issue before 😐

Hi. Would you have a link for info please? 🙏
No links , I'm afraid, sorry. All I'm sayin' is - if barrel band is putting upward pressure on muzzle end of barrel, you'll shoot high - if you slightly relieve a bit if band under the barrel & let it come to a natural state if rest/ being , it might well cur the ills. If you have a set of feeler gauges, measure cylinder/ barrel clearance/ gap @ breech block and @ cylinder/ barrel band - if greater @ band - Bingo !😊

I don't have feelers gauges but I could try to determine clearance another way perhaps.
But if I didn't have this issue with it's previously mounted scope, what has changed re the barrel/cylinder clearances? But I'll take a look as stated. Thank you.

You're welcome again😊 It wouldn't take but a slight bump to jostle a barrel/ band. I'm not saying it is a 100% the cause, but an avenue to check...a 1mm or less error @ muzzle, from true, adds up fast @ distance.

Normally when shooters have problems getting the scope zeroed like this, it's the other way round - the scope needs to be raised at the rear as the gun shoots too low. There's nothing unusual about the design of your gun which points to it being difficult to zero, so as has been pointed out, it points to some kind of fault with the gun. So while adjustable mounts might solve the problem, it's not addressing the real issue.
