Can anybody recommend these or should I just get a FX

Not tried one but did look at them. The top of the range has an aluminium tube which might withstand a hit better but in the end I went for the FX. I like the FX app which is very usable and allows you to set up different profiles for rifle and pellet combinations. In .22 I haven't had any missed shots.

Does the spec go up to air rifle? I think these are normally only for airsoft /low power?

I did a bit of googling and found a number of reviews from people using them with air rifles but decided I'd probably end up shooting it which I won't do with the FX😂

I have an earlier version (ACETECH AC5000) and it works fine for airguns. I checked it against the expensive chrono at the club and the readings were pretty much the same (y)

I think I've got the Bluetooth version of the one in the op, works spot on for my needs and haven't had a reason to fault it in the year or two I've had it.
Also, very handy having Bluetooth as you can set your phone next to the gun and look at the results with that rather than on the chronograph.

I have the BT version. Plenty of headroom for use with airguns and a nice app which allows pellets weights and shot strings to be stored and reviewed. It’s a yes from me.

I've Fxv2 and it's not missed a pellet yet ( and I use .177 mostly). App is clear and easy to use. Minimal faffing about too, just clip it on and shoot.👍

I had a 6000 Bluetooth version and it work great in air rifles and pistols.
I only sold it (via this forum iirc) as I bought a Garmin Xero for the powder burners and I didn't need them both.

I've got the previous version of the Acetech (AC6000BT) and it's very definitely intended for air rifles - it measures up to 400 m/s (over 1300 fps).

I have the Xcortech version and had a around 10 years or so and its aimed at Airsoft but works with airguns . Rarely used and only shot the inside of it once with my .22lr but no damage as it was glancing shot . No bluetooth and you need to convert grains to grams for the reading .
