Accuracy

Accuracy is a combination of shooters skill, optimum pellet, good trigger adjustment and sight correctly set. If one is wrong, accuracy will be affected. At different ranges the point of impact will be wherever the pellet prints, if the rifle is set up correctly, a decent group should print somewhere on the target.

Off a bench..the comp rifles...just because they are easier to use.

Which rifle in 1,77 is in the members opinion the most accurate.
With that said in post #3 There are many extremely accurate rifles on the market (not necessarily all high-end / expensive) that are capable of single hole repeatable groups at 50 yards. Unfortunately, it's a fact of life that this accuracy depends on the pilot.

The eternal debate.

In my experience and opinion (for what it's worth) - a decent rifle will be as accurate in either calibre, so it becomes more about other shooting characteristics.

For target shooting .177 is favoured due to flatter trajectory, and for competitions if you're shooting more or less single shot groups then a .177 group may be 'tighter' and score higher.
At our club some of the fun comps involve bell targets and the famous 'polo shoot' so .177 is preferred there also.

Some folk prefer .22 for energy transfer reasons in hunting, but if you look at the research there between .177/.22 there is conflicting evidence that .22 is any better.

.177 pellets are cheaper so that might influence your decision now that pellet prices are sky-high.

All my rifles are .177.

There are so many accurate rifles these days..

As said from budget to high end..

My collection,

Hw100s
Hw97k
Hw110t
Hw95k
Ultra Clx
Walther Rm8

And a donated Webley Vmx which is an absolute scattergun!

Of the others which is the most accurate..?

All of them are Very accurate, the budget Walther is no less accurate than my twice the price Weihrauch’s,

But they are all quite different, it’s horses for courses and personal choice thereafter!

But above all, if you only ever remember one thing..!

Weihrauch ROCKS!!! ✔️

I have an AA S510TR and used to own a Gamo G40 which I sold. They were equally accurate but the S510 is more pleasant to use.Precisely the point

Precisely the point..☝️

Most accurate springer for me is my tx200
Most accurate pcp has to be my alphawolf

But obviously I'm going to say that because I currently own them and I haven't owned many rifles

Clamped , most decent pcps will single hole group with the right pellet, my home modified Ripley Elite clamped will match my Anschutz 9015, but I get slightly better results , consistently , with the Anschutz in bench rest at 15 and 25 yards

Accuracy is an aggregate by product of rifle - projectile & shooter. If you' ve a good barrel, good trigger, the right pellet & the fella behind the butt is any good, one will have accuracy as the end product - no matter caliber or platform, it's that simple really...
The little .177 HW 30 is quite capable of 5p groups @ 50 yards.
