In addition, his FAC and livelihood will have gone.... which is probably reflective of the court sentence.

Unfortunately there are many a gamekeeper that would prefer to ‘ sterilise’ the land they police in favour of preserving partridge and pheasant stock
It’s a very out dated and short sighted mindset but thankfully not so prevalent these days with most modern keepers having respect of the land and wildlife they oversee

Depends who's the superviser. Some of them can be right bastrds, not that I've ever done community payback...yet!!

Does that mean he is still employed / employable as a Gamekeeper and armed with an FAC?

Lets hope so.
Trouble is he may have been encouraged by the estate to do what he did.
Doesn’t make him any less innocent but it happens , if so he’ll probably be back out as ‘junior gamekeeper’ or some such title once things die down .

Gosshawks will take all sorts, including pheasants, grouse, pigeons and partridges. He'll be thinking about the gratuities.
