So getting the feel of my new tx 200 today , testing different pellets and choroning etc … it’s pretty windy and it’s been shooting like a dream at 30yrds with everything I’ve put through it, so I thought just for fun to try some mako 10.5 slugs through it expecting the worst results being through a springer ….. well they consistently shot better than everything else today in this wind ( pics attached of another couple of groups after re spraying the plate .. )looking forward to stretching them out on a calmer day..
I’m not a big slug shooter , I prefer pellets through my fac huntsman , this just abit of fun 👍🏻,, cheers

Woah suprising results. Ive never tried slugs I always hear they don't work well in sub 12. Is the TX200 FAC power?

That's quite a surprise! Well done for trying and taking pics :)

Blew my mind to be honest, I shot 3x 5shot groups like that, was also shooting much tighter groups with the pellets but the winds really picked up

Interesting. I've some slugs knocking around, different weights and sizes, but I've never actually tried them. I think I sort of fell into the trap of believing they weren't much use for sub-12 PCPs and would be even less use for springers. Maybe I should be digging them out from wherever I stashed them? 😆

Had another quick go at it this eve in last light, this time at 35 yrds… 90% sure the fliers were my fault.. I’m shooting the tx200 with the fore end rested on my hand on a bag , and the butt in my shoulder .. I rekon I can do better .. and will push this ammo out to 50 in 5yrx increments as weather allows 🤙🏼

I was going to try them in my FAC HW80. I too heard they were not great in springers though a guy on a Facebook page says he shoots them out of his HW35 and they group well but he never showed the targets.

Worth a try, they seem to be keeping up with the pellets so far.. im going to get a good shooting position sorted and do the same test to 40 next 🎯
