Just giving the Hatsan 125 Sniper a bit of exercise, and discovered something about the pellets I was using. They are ridiculously inconsistently sized! I bought them in bulk a few years ago, and I can't get back to the shop right now, but there seems little point in trying for a return anyway. They are JSB Exact King Heavy diablos, 33.95gr. Some of them I was having to push in with my thumb, some just dropped in. One even dropped OUT again as I closed the barrel! At the risk of getting 48 different recommendations, what .25 pellets are you using, and how consistently sized are they?

Mainly H&N FTT, I dont really stray from them because they're 20gr and at sub12 I dont see the point in most of the others at 25gr and more.
FTT's are good in all the calibres I've tried, never .measured them as I've never had a problem like you are with them.

The lighter FTTs seem to work best in sub12 springer quarter bores.

The 25 grain and above JSBs etc seems better used in FAC air PCPs .... or that's what I've found with my Hatsan Striker and Airmaks Katran....

Ahem. The mystery is solved. Having a little walk around town, musing on the issue, and an idea occurred to me. Came home and checked. I had no less than THREE different pellets in the box. I had the JSBs, some others with little dimples in the heads, and yet more with deeper skirts that were at least 4 grains lighter. These last two have been removed for melting into the backstop, and the box topped up with new JSBs.

Nothing to see here, please go about your business.....Shrug ttThankyou spinning

I no longer have a .25 however both mine were fac Impacts running at 50fpe and I never measured or weighed my AAF 25.4gr but there again I never had the reason to do so as the the outfit was a superb hunting tool.

I know you have solved it, but H&N FTT, JSB Hades (shockingly not awful in .25 as they suck in .177), or JSB King/AADF/FX and Marksman, which are crap in every calibre apart form .25 for some reason.

Marksman, Hades, and HN, all work well in my Cometa USC.👍👍

H&N FTT fit really well in my Hatsan Striker springer. Marksman also work well giving 5p groups at 30 yards, but Marksman pellets are loose in the breech.

I found that Marksman and Rhino pellets worked quite well for me in a .25 Supersport. I think they're both around 19gn 👍

Sorry Chris - that'll teach me to RTFT properly before replying 🙄😃👍

As a former member of this forum said marksman 25 are surprising good. That's what I use in my HW80K any way.

Ultimate accuracy isn't really an issue for me at the moment, at 6 yards, virtually everything can hold a one hole group if I do my bit right.

I use JSB KING.25 in my HW97 with no problems, very accurate. (It will shoot anything tbh up to about 30gr ish it’s not that fussy)

The Hatsan striker I’ve got will only accurately shoot RSW SUPER-H-POINT (also 25gr)
I think they are slightly thinner, I’ve tried pretty much everything and in a Hatsan barrel these are all it likes. It just kind of spits everything else out.

Also FTT and Marksman are about the lightest you will find but seriously, Hatsan&RSW perfect.
