Hi all,
i use a sub 12 Ultra in .25 on my ratting perms & fancy trying some flathead pellets to see how effective they are but can't find any mention of .25 wadcutters on any website.
Does anyone know of any make of flathead/wadcutter pellet in .25 or am i looking for a Unicorn.
Any info much appreciated.
Rick😜

To be honest, I'd struggle to give you a wadcutter in .22 let alone .25.

Considering what wadcutters are actually designed for, I'd be on the side of "looking for a unicorn" but I'm happy to proven wrong.

I think the closest you're going to get is a hollow point (y)

I hear 1/4" musings going down.......!

Anyway

Yes they are mine
Yes i still have them
No I won't sell them

And H&N on here said they're having trouble with their normal pellets so these are last in line if ever.

Cheers for the quick replies lads. Before i posted i did think i was looking for the proverbial Unicorn as i could'nt find anything online but if you don't ask you won't know.
Had great success with Marksman 19.2gr, FTT's 20.56gr & surprisingly in a sub 12 JSB Exact King Heavy's which weigh 33.95gr.
THe hollowpoints could be interesting.

Whilst I don't have a quarter bore myself (yet), I do regularly help a shooting buddy out setting up scopes and pellet testing.

After he came home with a .25 one day, we set about chucking all sorts of pellets through it. Whilst somewhat very pricey, the H&N hornets were the best of the bunch we tried and made really good single hole groups. This genuinely surprised me as experience has usually fallen to "the fancier the pellet, the worse it is" but not in this case.

I'll be careful outside H3, but they most definitely stopped rats. I also joked with him they'd take out an engine block
