Has anyone got a 22mm socket I can borrow to replace the seal on the gauge of my FTP900 it is leaking. And I need the a very thin walled socket to get it off.

Or does anybody know where I can purchase one?

Thanks

Would a box spanner do the trick ?

Unfortunately I don’t have a lathe. The socket needs to be 26.75mm wide at the most, which makes a very thin walled socket.

Right the socket outer dia is 26.75. the inner is 25-26 mm, it's a socket that came with the P35 to remove the guage

Would be great if it worked. The FTP is supposed to be 22mm and I noticed the P35 says 24mm?

Just found this, looks like its 0.25mm too wide but going to try one. I'll let you know if it works.

Iv got one if you're anywhere near west wales? , it was a regular socket I had machined down for the aa fillport gauges, but be prepared sockets are hardened so not the nicest to reduce down 😬
Anneal and Re harden ?
Sometimes a tipped tool will do it

Or a black ( impact ) socket
Are usually softer than the chromed ones . It was explained to me so they don’t shatter

Do these gauges have to be for up super dooper tight?

They're generally really hard and brittle, I ended up sending one to Mark Turver to machine for me, they can be tight to undo first but no dont need to be cranked back up hard just snugged

No don't need to be tight at all on the FTP as long as they have a nice new seal on them. My one is on tight so I will need a socket. I have heard of people spinning them off by hand once the pressure is off.
