This is my first Squizzer since last year - spotted it sun bathing on top of my shed this morning. I only shot 2 in 2025, compared with 18 in 2024 - perhaps I’m having the desired effect. I only shoot them on my own property which is quite rural, surrounded by quite a few trees. Quite chuffed with this shot; 32 yards with a new Alphawolf/Zulus combo which I’d bought specifically for vermin control. I’ve been setting it up at my club for the last couple of weeks and, really pleased with it. It’s a .22 Sub 12, loves JTS Dead Centre 16.01gr - this one went exactly where I aimed it. My club’s range isn’t that long at 48 yards but, the gun was grouping well inside 18mm at the max distance down to pellet on pellet from 11 yards out to 38. I’d never shoot at anything live beyond 35 yards - mostly much closer but, it’s a good confidence booster to know it’s bang on accurate at my usual hunting ranges.

Great shot !

Five this morning, three males one female, one unknown.
Three this years, two adults.

Thread Total = 777

I got up at 4:10AM (awake but alarm set for 5), at the farm before first light, risked the feeder I can't drive up to as one of them warns the others.
Last week I shot an old one with a thread bare tail, I kind of hoped that was the problem one.
It may well have been, by 8:30 I'd shot four on that feeder [1], from the car (camo net and tarp) and lost one to being left under the feeder too long, from 6:08 to the last one 8:25AM.
Checked second feeder on the off-chance, as it was still a very cold wind and there are young stupid ones appearing.
Watched for a while, all quiet, decided to drive off but left the net over the front "just in case", passing feeder I spotted a squirrel, I stopped, reversed back 30 odd yards, waited and shot that one just before ten. Best morning I've had a good while.

2 Boars & a Sow this morning

Agility personified!
Sow lowering a kit onto the bottom cable for them both to traverse along the cables from pole to tree.
Unfortunately there was no backstop to allow the shots to be taken 🙁
