Shot a rabbit at 156 yards head on recently into a mild headwind first two shots I aimed slightly 'high' and high they went . Aimed 'on' but top and ziiipp whaaack . No head ! I've had this a couple of times so head winds can lift long shots or slow drop .
I'd put a couple of misses down to poor trigger control but I think the headwind lift is a thing.

Wow why have I never had one of these went out with a mate months before my renewal was due I was impressed so put in for one when renewal came out on Friday with my own omg I had so much enjoyment from it thinning rabbits out for a fruit farm it was a game changer I fitted a nocpix bolt 35L on top living the dream to the max only downside £20 a box of rounds 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That still a cheap night out . I no longer have mine , there's a shortage of rabbits due to VHD .
Great fun round , enjoy .

CF ammunition will start at least £1 a bang for the cheaper stuff, and double that + for the quality gear (dependant on calibre) so 40p a bang is a lot less expensive fun is how i regard the HMR - recoil free, and flat shooting within given parameters, it's almost like cheating.

I roll my own CF rounds

At 100 yards that is very very good
It was a perfect day and a bit of luck prone on a hedge line no wind .
But possibly mostly luck . A sizzling little round some nights when it's still you really hear it rip the air as the bang is not so harsh 👍😁 Cheers

.17 HMR is a devastating round and capable of harvesting a lot of meat for the table

It can also flatten a perm, when used enthusiastically
No better rabbit control round, in my opinion
