I'm looking at an Arken 1-piece cantilever mount for a Hik Alpex Lite. They come in either 0 MOA or 20 MOA bases. My Zulus has a 20 MOA base (came as standard) but is it really required for sub-12 ft/lb air rifles? Before the Zulus I only ever used 'extra' MOA bases on Centrefire for long distance.

The new set up is for a HW100. Just wondering if the 0 MOA will be fine for the job?

Depends on how much adjustment you have. Bizzarley I need 20 MOA on my 25mm Bushnell Elite 4200 scopes for sub 12 FT, and I also have it for my Leupolds on other rigs with 30mm tubes. They don't 'need' it, but it helps.

You probably need a 20 MOA more for shooting at closer ranges as well, when I zero my scope at a close 10 yards my JSB Heavy pellets drop .35 inches to the target plus you have your scope height above bore to take into account. This means that your scope centre line is probably already over two inches above the impact point, so a 20 MOA mount will get it back to synchronicity.
