I.D app suggests this little one is called "Heliophanus spec." and doesn't have a common name, so I will call him Dave, might be Doris but I can't tell so apologies Doris if you're not a Dave!
Taken with the phone so you can get an idea of the scale, he is sitting on the side of the plastic tub on the right...

OH MY GOD! Some of these photo's should come with a spoiler alert, I'm not too squeamish about Spiders but by Christ there were a few sphincter tightning moments going through some of the photo's 😲

My first attempt at Macro using Canon R8, RF 100-400mm, NISI close up lens and a little artificial lighting, 1/10 F9 400 iso, each one 30 images focus stacked using Canon DPP.
I’m quite impressed with the NISI close up lens, but I may be investing in a dedicated macro lens as I really enjoyed myself and will definitely be having more forest time.
 
I may have a go at photographing an Iris, up close and personal.
My Wife will be my first victim.... :)
On our Cruise last year, the on-board photographer was doing these, (obviously charging for them) and it piqued my interest.
I have watched a couple of YT vids on how to do it, so will give it a go at some point.
I have a Macro (micro) lens , Nikon DX 40mm f2.8, not the best I know, but it should do for a start, I have also just bought a couple of Hoya close up filter lens's, (x2, x3 and x4, I think) which may improve things a bit.
Just gotta catch my Wife in a good mood.....

You probably won't need the close-up filters, since your lens can do 1:1. With a DX camera that will fill the frame with some quite small detail (~16x24mm)
