I’ve handled a SOG Terminus and it does appear to be a very good U.K. legal slippie.
Nice safety-aided ergos (index finger helps trap the blade open). Also it has quite a firm backspring.
Deep carry pocket clip a nice bonus.
The D2 models look like good value for money too.
If you like a similar style of harder-use slippie, you must check out the Boker Plus XS Heinnie Haynes Edition - they are a great knife and a all things considered an absolute bargain.

I have owned an S90V Manly wasp too. Another very good value for money knife especially with that blade steel . I think I remember someone saying Manly heat treat their S90V to just below 60 HRC which translates to holding a good edge without being close too brittle. It certainly held a working edge for me without any edge chipping drama.
The only reason I sold it on was because I personally didn’t like the multiple half-stops, otherwise an outstanding knife.

I bought one of these off the forum a few weeks back....I like it, but I wouldn't say its pocket friendly...a real chunky monkey workhorse.

Totally agree with you there, mine was to quickly replace a much loved SAK that was no longer fit for purpose. Took a bit of getting used to in the pocket

I have a SOG terminus slip joint in CTS-BD1N steel. I like the look, but the steel is a bit naff - doesn’t hold an edge for long at all. Go for something with s30v, s90v, s35vn or my current favourite 3g.

Depends who’s heat treating the steel - in Spyderco‘s hands BD1N has been very good. Takes a fine edge exceptionally well and keeps a working edge for a decent amount of time.
The new SOG Terminus’s are D2 so should hold an edge better and if heat treated properly should resist chipping too.

I bought one of those late last year and it’s a very nice knife considering the low price.
We all like different styles etc but for me I really like the offerings from Real Steel. Hard to beat for the money....

Boker plus Xs has been my everyday carry for the last three months and I love it. Came super sharp and I've only had to run it on a leather strop once to bring it back to tip top condition!

Another option is the Byrd Tern - it is made by Spyderco and functionally the same as the UKPK - but made in China. Basically their lesser brand (and cheaper).
