So a new H77K was decided (sorry I post alot) but the purchase decision was to Create/Tune a new rifle for 10m open sight targeting...

After its new rifle barrel clean (boy it was minging...)

and took MANY pull throughs to rid it of it's crud !!!
But, first go after zeroing an open sight boinger for near 37 years and... WOW WOW WOW.... time to get this beauty tuned and find some nice diopters (recommendations highly welcome - just ordered a HW tunnel fore sight).
Oh... and only tried 1 type of pellet 😳👇🏻
Remembering how to use open sights and zeroing at 11 meters prone...

Who in hell can get a rifle and 1st type of pellets you try ARE THE ONES?
NOW i could be seriously tempted to sell my new HW100X & HW97 😳 as this beauty is giving me an unbelievable smile...

Forget the super duper PCP and expensive glass...
This is being 18 AGAIN ! Boinged like a 18st fat bird on the dance floor but put a smile on ya face 😉🤣🤣🤣

Mate, seriously satisfying!!
Taking it all back to basics, days are gone chasing clear vision on expensive glass... or expensive PCPs (to me at least)....
This Boinger does the job... garden plinking but FULL SATISFACTION!!
But yes, she'll get tuned and better (if you can for a bad eyesight 57 year old bloke) diopters... cause they are extra fun...
BUT...there was that much 'BOINGIN' neighbours must think a young newly married couple must have moved in 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Some will never attempt shooting with irons & never realize what fun they're truly missing...

Cheers bud... I have read your old posts etc once I bought it...and hence the diopter search.... but this thing at 10 is mega...and has done to me today that I've paid £1000s for on other rifles and not succeeded 👊🏻🐼👍🏻🇬🇧🇺🇲

Another hour on the trigger, to get settled in & you'll be on point for some playing card remodeling.👍👍🙂
 
Best thing today... as i was round my lads house yesterday making a new Mod and left my target there...I used a large cut from a tree destined for the log burner....
Wow....not a pellet peep at all..
Was only the Boingin' of the rifle that was a give away, I was shooting an air rifle...🤣

My mate has an HW50 that he's kept on opens and I love shooting it over his range, can't see where the pellets are landing past 10 yards until I walk down to check the target but its a grand feeling if they've actually gone where I hoped😂it really is good fun

I know the feeling, that's were the Samsung S25 Ultra came into its own....who needs a spotting scope 🤣

Now just to rig up targets on pulley wires from the kitchen beer fridge 🤣

Save your twist off bottle caps - a length of timber drilled with a few holes that are filled with neodymium magnets & you'll know where you hit ( positively) at any range.🙂👍

Hi I bought exactly the same gun a week ago, mine came with open sights on, which I removed and put a scope on it, but I may very well go back to the open sights, it will be nice yo have an air rifle with open sights on it, mine was sold as second-hand but really it is in as new condition, I will let you know how I go with the open sights.

Think this might be the one in the For sale section I saw too (Birmingham area) was tempted myself 🐼👍🏻
