Considering a laser for my pistols and not sure which would be best. Red or Green. What is the consensus on this please. Thanks in advance 😊

I have found both to my liking, but ambient light makes a difference. under some conditions my astigmatism is very noticeable and turns the dot into a streak; worse with red than green for me.

Try both, or better get an optic that can do both.

‘Traditionally’ green for daylight, red for dusk - but it depends on your eyesight, target colour, direct sun or not etc. so it’s a bit subjective and variable I’ve found.

I have an astigmatism too. Interesting point about the green variant. I won't be doing any night or dusk shooting anyway, so maybe red is a non starter for me. Thanks for that 👍

Green. If you find its crap for shooting with you can use it to scare birds but make sure you don't shine wily nily into the sky. when scaring them, Use a plane spotting app to make sure there is no aircraft in the area.

Any recommendation as to which make for a small green laser for a Reximex Mito, i bought a cheap Chinese one but the battery drains itself so when i go to use it the battery is dead.

I bought a Viperay Scrapper SubCompact green laser for my HW45 from Vector Air (You Tube's number one hair dyeing expert) on a very good deal for £45 and is used underside on my HW45. It works well but I do have a habit of turning it on or off when cocking. The charging is via a magnetic connector so there is no USB socket to wear out.

Green is supposed to best in daylight as allegedly there are more green receptors in the eye than red.

My preference is for the green, I find it brighter and easier to spot than the red, especially in bright day light.

I use an olight baldr on my mito, was actually using it last night, it's the red laser version and non rechargable but batteries last a very very long time before needing to be replaced (using the light aswell as the laser).
I don't use it during the day so absolutely no idea how good that would be, but at night, I can't fault it and build quality is superb.
It's quick release and hasn't been adjusted in over a year now, still absolutely spot on. I mention the quick release as I strip the pistol down to fit in its case after every use.

I have just ordered one £35 posted, thanks for the advice.

That is very cheap. I thought I had a good deal as most places were around £60 when I bought mine last year. They must be bringing out a new version.

A quick search on Amazon or AliExpress will show up some fairly reasonably priced items.
Choose a rechargeable one and be done with fiddly batteries.
I have even seen a blue laser option (even more expensive) but I'm not sure what the purported benefits are. A button switch is better than slide switch; a deported switch is also on offer.

I quite like the Umarex type one with a picatiny replication on the bottom (not rechargeable unfortunately).

From what I have read blue is the hardest to see but has best battery life. Green is the easiest to see but the worst battery life. Red is somewhere in the middle.

I had a green laser and it was very clear and bright in the daylight.
Not tried the red though .
How about something different like blue ( not tried this myself though )

More than likely a new model is coming out but for shooting @ 20 yards it is ideal for what i need.

I Normally use both, but if i had to choose one. i'd choose Red.
