6 Yard Rifle Targets

6 yard rifle targets are available from the NSRA shop:

I have also attached a version below that can be printed on the back of a standard 17cm target. On the printed version, I usually shoot 2 shots per target but if you are a dead-eyed hotshot it might be best to shoot one per target and submit 2 cards.

If you print your own targets, please check the sizing of the target. The black section of the target should measure 16mm in diameter. Please note that, for rifles, the lowest score available is ‘4’. Anything below that scores zero!

This time a card in the Pistol Rested category. I always thought the HW75 was capable, happy I’ve been proved right. I could really be masochistic and try a 45 next month - or perhaps not.

This scope was removed from my HW44 (that will remain locked away for the month). I’ve spoken elsewhere on reducing the size of the ocular lens which has all but removed parallax error (if that’s the right terminology) which is a huge benefit, it almost takes away the human element.

The top right black has an outward tear in the 8-ring, I can only think it’s from a ricochet.

First March target, PCP. Air Arms MPR biathlon, bipod, sitting. Econ II pellets, peep sights. Claim 99 subject to scrutiny. Pellets in both bottom right targets. Looking critically at the pellet placements I think I need a click to the right. It's a frustrating game, so often near but there is the next time!

Replica pistol, new to me Beretta 92F. I am still pellet testing with one of Wolfman's test packs but this is very promising. Sitting, rested, RWSR10 Match Pistol 4.5 Total score 83 subject to scrutiny.

First go today with the HW80. I actually thought i was hitting the bull most of the last shots. On hindsight, i think i forgot what i had worked to on the practice card. 20 shots and still got a smile on my face. Brilliant.

Am i right in thinking we have to completely "destroy" ie no white showing of the centre white dot on the rifle targets for it to be scored as a 10

Back to the wadcutters for the next effort, they score more easily.
