I had one post altered for mentioning a past members name on the a sales thread which was visible for all to see which is fine but when it happens on a pm that's unacceptable to me a pm is between the sender and who it's sent to not for mods to decide if it's OK. So keep safe people and be careful what you type you never know who's reading it

Nothing online is private whether you think it is or not......

"not for mods to decide if it's OK.

Nope, sorry- strongly disagree with you on that point.

The Mods here are very on the ball as they should be!

Messages between people on a site about airguns and other firearms really need to be subject to scrutiny.

Step off your high horse sir.

While we do have access to members 'Conversations' and that is common knowledge....they aren't 'Private Messages'.
We certainly don't go and edit people's messages.

If it's the member I think you're talking about then he asked for his name to be removed from the forum. This means when you type it the software automatically changes his old username to 'deleted member'.

Nobody has been into your 'conversations' and changed anything.

An apology is always welcome though....

If the member you mean has asked for their name to be removed then the software will do it on all of the forum including direct messages.

Edit ,
Joey posted the same.

WRONG

Through lack of knowledge and understanding but was quite happy to make a fool of himself.
