what do (can ) u use to shim a ZulusV2

It depends what your problem is. On my Ultra I need 0 MOA as with the 20 MOA the scope is pointing down hill too far and once zeroed the laser splash is very low.
This is the same issue that I had on my Caiman mounting the V2 using the standard long 20 MOA mount but easily solved with 3 shims, no need to buy extra mounts.

Depending on your rifle,,I was lucky on my fac BRK commander,,,I ordered the 35moa long mount with my zulus and elevation axis is near zero,,,

I used a piece of coke can cut with a pair of scissors recently, quick easy and free... perfect. For 20 MOA you'll probably need 2x shims.

Note - last time I suggested this I got called a bodger 😲

I have a arken 5-20 and a DNT 5-20 the dnt came with 135 moa but i just ordered a 0moa from DNT uk £50 if i recall.

Did you just shim the front hole or a couple?

All 3 shims in the front hole.
That doesn't make sense. To create MOA(s) the rear of the scope should be kept higher than the front, so you should shim the aft most connecting hole... (to get any preset MOA the sightline of the scope needs to go down, so that when you look at a target, you raise the barrel line) .

If you have a 20/35 MOA rail and you need to decrease the MOA, then you shim the front of the scope... (and to be clear, the front is where the muzzle is and the rear is where the buttstock is...)

You’ve just agreed with the post you’re disagreeing with - to reduce MOA via shims, you shim the front to lift the front of the scope.

Yes still the best moa for sub 12 , FAC air and .22LR . Should be able to choose which mount you need

You've got me doubting myself here. I'm 99% certain I had to shim the rear. I couldn't zero elevation at 20m without shimming.
I'm going to check when I have 5 mins.

Sorry my bad, I totally missed the part where he said that he wanted to reduce MOA... Homer face palm

In the old days we always used 35mm film for shimming. For the simple reason on some of the scopes with gloss finish, tin or ally if it was sharp could scuff the finish on the scope.
I've still kept tons of 35mm film for that reason. You could layer it to the desired height.

I need to shim a zulus on a crappy break barrel moa off a fair bit. not sure what to make a shim out of . any suggestions please ?
An old school remidy, if you can get hold of some is photographic film. You can use old negatives or anything similar. You might have to build up the layers but it works well because it doesn’t crush when the rings tighten up. Just cut to size. Sorry just seen that someone else has also suggested this bIt it really does do the job.
