Ali can should work, easy enough to get, and to cut to shape, and under compression it should settle quite quickly.

I can't remember is the Pard shims are markedly different, but there are plastic ones on ebay (Item 353556924879).

An Eaglevision adjustable mount is perfect but not cheap

Wish they came with 35 moa like the v1
That suited my sub 12 , FAC air .22 & .25 and .22 lr

Hi

I have heard that kitchen aluminium foil can be used............U-Tube may be informative on this.

I need to shim a zulus
Just for info, Optics warehouse do a 0MOA bracket instead of the 20MOA yours came with which I believe is for 500 yards !!
Bit of a stretch for a springer
Looking at a Zulus myself and don't understand WHY in the UK you don't get the choice, after all there can't be that many people with .223's+ compared to air rifles.

To add to the confusion on mounts, there are short and long versions, too. I ideally need a 0 MOA long, but they don’t seem to exist.

I have shimmed the back of the zulus with a piece of plastic ( seems to work ) but if I need to lift the back of the scope with a shim ,bringing the reticle down.
then I thought a mount with a 35 moa would be better . wouldn't a zero moa mount lift the reticle increasing the problem.. ?

It depends what your problem is. On my Ultra I need 0 MOA as with the 20 MOA the scope is pointing down hill too far and once zeroed the laser splash is very low.

What Paz said above, the Ali washers work great! If you get some .2’s and .3’s you’re all set up to go from .2 to over a millimetre, with increments of 0.1!
