I have the 312R V2 on my Hw100KT I use for pest control great bit of kit but I still have glass on my day only rifle and love the view and simplicity of a quality bit of glass, they both have there place
Digital is a big step forward, no doubt about it, but it's pixels. A nice glass scope isn't, it's what I call a natural view.
Yes to intensity, no to screen brightness.V2 IR is bigger.
I’ve not used the V2, but have you tried adjusting IR intensity and/or screen brightness?
I have a V2. Has anyone noticed that the IR reflection back off grass and obstacles in the field is worse than with the V1 IR? I think the V2 IR has a slightly larger diameter than the V1.
At times my V2 screen is whited right out with the flash back.
Exactly what I have said before about the tube scope and older shooters stuck in their ways and got slaughtered for saying it , so looks I’m rightI looked through a V2 today, I wouldn’t say any of the upgrades warrant upgrading from the V1, for me.
Yes the on screen display is a bit better (most notably the LRF readout), and the textured buttons seem better (though once you’ve learned the layout it’s irrelevant), but I don’t think the zoom lever is of any benefit and might actually be worse - it requires more effort, and the zoom is still in steps so the lever with infinite adjustment makes no sense and doesn’t really compute in use.
I asked the rep if the Zulus would go 4K at some point, his reply was that the new tubed scope (will be out before Christmas he said) would be the 4K Zulus - an odd reply when they’re obviously very different in form. I suppose the answer is no. He was then very quick to slag off the Alpex 4K saying it isn’t really 4K blah blah. I also overheard another rep on the stand telling someone that the tubed scope was only being released to keep older shooters happy as they’re stuck in their ways and won’t move away from traditional looking guns and optics, or words to that effect.
That's all I did on my AA S400. I will change to a 35 MOA when I get it. I just loosened the scope punt on to the picatinny adapter and slipped a folded piece of coke can in at the back. Think my Y is now about 8I’m after some advice on Zulus mounting, please… @RussDouglas222 @GPCBILL
I’ve got a 3-12 V1 mounted on a BSA Ultra with the supplied 20 MOA mount on an eagle vision dovetail to picatinny adaptor.
I’ve finally got it zeroed (not the fault of the Zulus) with an X value of 21 and a Y of 111. The LRF splash is off the bottom of the screen on 6x mag or more.
Can I shim the mount, or would an alternate MOA mount be best?
What you need to do is raise the scope to lower the reticle. With the 20moa rail your scope is pointing too far down which is resulting in your zero being high.I’m after some advice on Zulus mounting, please… @RussDouglas222 @GPCBILL

I got the long one, although 0MOA versionIs anyone able to confirm for me whether the 20 MOA mount supplied with the (DNT branded) Zulus V1 is short or long, please?
@GPCBILL @Blackwood Outdoors
There is a 0MOA long mount in the sales section right now FYIThat’s exactly what I need, but nobody appears to have them in stock. To answer my own question, the standard 20 MOA now supplied is the long version.
There is a 0MOA long mount in the sales section right now FYI
Edit - actually not sure if it is a 'long' or not
I'm making enquiresI've been offered that one - it's a short, sadly. As far as I can tell there's 1/2" between them, with the short being 5.2" and the long being 5.7" (good old mix of imperial and decimal...)
Is @GPCBILL able to confirm if DNT even supply a ) MOA long mount?
