Had day off today so went to fill my phoenix by hand pump hills
All was fine until I hit 150 bar and it would not fill any further,went up to 200 but back down to 150 in front of me on gauge
Thought maybe the pump and left alone for 40 mins and went back still the same
Just filled my ultra to 180 so know is not pump
any ideas please!!

I'd hedge a bet on a sticky fill valve on the bottle.

The manual, from memory, suggested a drop of Parker Hale oil on the top of the fill valve before filling (can't remember how often).
This apparently keeps the seals in good order when it dissipates through the rifle as a mist
I did it with mine and never had any trouble

Page from the manual below
Look at the routine maintenance section

Cheers mate I will try that and report back
have to be tomoz as only have spray gun oil and heard this is no good for these

Well bought said oil and just did the oiling about 30 mins ago
bottle still only pumps up to 150 ,you can make 200 but it comes back down to 150 in front of you
Oiled again and will leave for few days this time
@P8X any other ideas mate

Hi
I think you need to put some leak detector spray around the bottle filler, to isolate that first as the cause, then probably go further up the line to where the bottle connects to the action
Could be a bit of a foreign body in the fill valve or O rings. Can't see it being much else

@Shoto1
Hi. Do you still have the literature? Is there an exploded diagram?
Thanks

That's the weird thing
you can not hear any air escaping ,,bottle fills to 200 then goes down to 150 on gauge on pump(in seconds no hissing though)
never had it on anything else ,,also filled ultra after and was fine
seems it cuts off at 150

Thank you very much for the in depth photos
but I am still stumped as to why to bottle will only fill to 150 bar

Probably the seal on the valves. If you are a member on the bbs, then slug-gun (somewhat more active over there than on here) would be a person to ask, as he used to make them, any may well still have some spares.

Just a thought - there are 2 versions of filling - one where you have to unscrew the bottle to fill it, the other where the base of the bottle is modified with a foster connection and you fill it in situ. Which is yours?
