Umarex ReadyAir compressor.

Hi does anyone own or has owned an Umarex ReadyAir compressor because I am thinking about buying one and it would be nice to know peoples experiences with them.
 
Me and 5 other mates have them. One had issues and it was exchanged under warranty. No problems with mine so far but it's only had just over an hour of use
 
I hope being a Umarex product that they are good with their warranty claims, I’m in two minds about buying one. I use a Hills mk5 hand pump at the moment which isn’t too bad because both my PCP guns only have 130 and 200 cc capacity which equates to one pump per shot in practice, but I’ve seen a place that sells them for £620 new and that seems to be making up my mind for me !

Much better than the original RRP but they should really be around the £500 mark. The Tuxing and various clones are pretty good value at £200 or under but the reliability seems a bit hit and miss

That’s the only thing that stops me buying a cheap Chinese product off Ebay, because if I pay for something then I want a guarantee and a product that lasts with parts availability.
Gosh when I read the above paragraph it makes me sound really tight.

No it makes you sound sensible.


But.... If something costs a third of the price it is still cheaper even if it only lasts half as long.
 
Ive one of the Yong heng water cooled cheapies and its great, fills my 5l dive bottle from 180bar to 270/280 in just over 10 mins, ive an extra tuxin water filter inline and its perfect, cost all in £170

I always go on Amazon and check the reviews on anything I’m thinking of buying and I can see that this one has very good reviews even better than more expensive compressors. Thanks.👍

as long as you look after it, make sure it doesnt get too hot, iced water is great. and check oil and change regulary. mines greaat, noisy but not bothered it only on for about 10/15mins at most. and no water is getting through the gold tuxin filter.
 
I have a Yong Heng compressor and I’ve started to notice that the air smells of oil when I fill the gun from the bottle that I’ve charged and purge the whip. I’m not sure if this is the cause of my HW100 becoming inconsistent, I’m buying an improved in-line filter from Aliexpress to see if this helps.

Has the oil level in the sight glass starting to go down, if so it might be drawing oil from the crank case.
