Yes ordered from Pro Optics Ltd end of October, he did eventually reply to my email Tuesday said scope was in Post Office so he was going down to see why it hadn’t moved but he had another one under his arm and if prob with first one would send this one, he promised he would contact me later to tell me what’s happening but didn’t so no scope delivered today and again not answering emails so I’m stuck now? Is it the Police I go to now

You have your scope now, yes? It was a bit of a long drawn out one but once we knew what had happened it got sorted in 24hrs. I can't help royal mail and once the tracking was sent out if people don't tell me the scopes haven't arrived I can't sit and check all tracking numbers every day. But it got sorted in the end. Alls well that ends well.

And for the chap spouting I was selling scopes to DAB when others had paid for them. Shake your head pal, you know nothing about the business dealings or who order / paid for what. So speculation won't wash here. All orders even to this day got and do get fulfilled in order of order taken. Not my fault DAB ordered 20 and paid for them before the next person in line. Why should he wait longer than anyone else when his order was made an paid for in line with others? But then again you didn't know that, but thought you'd chip in anyway. Joys.

I'm going to start hitting the ignore button on certain people or just check the forum less and less to the point of not at all. Which is a massive shame as it is such a good resource for other gun info and my hobby. We have had a handful of issues with deliveries, nothing really when you see how many scopes we've sent in total (remember that the website sales are seperate from the trade sales / offline sales). If you know of someone who hasn't got there scope please ask them to contact me and I'm not aware of any outstanding.

But in every business in life you'll get people who are happy, content and beleive you. You get the ones who are scepticle (rightly so, new product etc) but listen to what you say and put a bit of trust in you (which has paid off for them) and you get the ones who just like to know it all (surposedly) and cause issues. Oh and then theres the 2 people who are hell bent on trying to rubbish everything, Arken do talk to me everyday and we have a laugh at about you and what you tell them...... Just saying, save your time lol. Being in business for a very long time I don't let myself lose sleep over a few who decided I should be in prison for a million years for not hand delivering scopes at 8pm on a Sunday night. Meh. Can't please everyone :) But just a kind word of advice, save your time, do something useful, you're not effecting Arken or myself in any way whatsoever. Just wasting your own time.

Anyone whos had an issue with the scope (only 2 out of over 120 now) have since received BRAND NEW replacement scopes at our expense whilst Arken work out warranty proceedures. This is new for them too remember, they are still putting together overall plans, warranty proceedures and even who will sell the things in the UK! Give them a little break about the IR pill and the 0moa mounts. I promise they are coming but it takes time to reply to every email asking them and they're actually trying to get the dealer network to make the anouncements to the market as they come. All dealers now get a News / Info email with any updates on stock, prices, items etc... Which is great. Make sure you sign up to your prefered dealers newsletter to get them.

The way the warranty works is like any other product, go back to where you bought it from and take advice from them. Different dealers may have different arrangements with Arken over how they handle things. There is no set fast rule or law or obligation for any dealer to accept a product bought from another dealer. Wherever that idea came from in strange, but hey ho.

Thanks to everyone whos supported me and to those who've just sat back and read the threads, even if you've not bought one. At least you've been nice by not saying anything :) Here's to 2024 and to what new shiny scopes Arken will release. If you've got an issue with me or my businesses DM me, we can chat.

The PRE -order was placed 29th November and delivered on the 3rd January. As I previously stated this was fully expected due to the holiday period and additional Christmas work load on Royal Mail.

same as 99% of others too lol don’t worry Shawn. Just have to make the odd post on here now and then to stop the ‘interesting’ few on here running at me with pitch forks (even though they aren’t a customer nor intend to be lol). It would be a shame if a small minority of muppets caused you to check in on the forum less or worse not at all . I myself was sceptical at first at first as lots were buying and having to wait but i took the plunge and you didn't let us down and i have to say i am happy with my scope more than happy :).

So playing devils advocate, as an example within the time you ordered yours i ordered mine on the 8th December direct from Arken, it landed 5 days later, why did yours take over a month.
 
Yorkyboy will correct me if I'm wrong but as I understand it he was waiting for an order for a bunch of scopes to come from China and that order was delayed going through UK customs
People who ordered one offs direct from Arken were being supplied from a stock that Arken maintain in the UK (in a house in Romford, Essex)
If you still have the paperwork on the box you received your scope in, it will have come via Royal mail and there will not be any Chinese writing or Customs declarations on it.
You can also check the address it was sent from

I've purchased goods from Aliexpress that have arrived in 6 days so not unheard of these days, unlike days of old when things seemed to come via the slow boat from China!....unless its high value or a box load then it will attract the attention of customs at heathrow you can be sure of that....and trust me pp....something that costs £600 notes will attract that attention.
 
Anybody who ordered a scope direct from the Arken website had it sent to them by Royal Mail from the Arken stock at Romford in Essex
Since the goods were sent from a UK address to another UK address there was no VAT or duty to be paid
If the scope had arrived at your door from China, there would be customs paperwork and Chinese writing all over it (and you probably would have had to pay VAT before you got it)

As I stated, I placed a PRE-order (Pro-Optics site clearly stated these were pre orders for delivery in early Jan) on the 29th November. I can only presume these orders were collated and when enough orders were received by Pro Optics then a bulk order was places with Arken. This would make common sense, as a company you would not place orders for individual items with a manufacturer. As your order was placed direct with Arken then they would be dispatched on a individual basis. Simples!

Ordered my direct from Arken on the 7/1/24 and its on its way estimated delivery 3-4 days
When it arrives, take a photo of the delivery label and post it on here so we can see:
Who delivered it (Royal Mail or a courier)
Where it was sent from
Are there any customs declarations or chinese writing on it

Buying the Zulus is a juggling act. Who has stock at anyone time?

Arken have been sending in scopes in batches, that's why suppliers have pre orders and once that lot is sold you have to wait till the next order comes in.

You can't blame Pro-Optics, OW, Blackwoods for stock availability.

Arken China stock in the UK will have the same problem when their allocation runs out another batch will be on its way.

Remember this is a new product which is being released all over the world, not just the UK.

Arken haven't got the resources or parts to flood the market with stock to allow us all to get next day delivery and businesses like Pro-Optics haven't got the funds to buy hundreds of scopes in advance. So for them it's a double edge sword. Do I buy in a small amount to start with and see how the sales go or do I take a chance and buy lots and be left with a pile of scopes I can't sale.


So for crying out lads give these chaps a break. We wouldn't have the scopes if it wasn't for Pro-Optics taking a chance in the 1st place.
