HW100 or HW110

Hw100 all day ,I’ve had two 20 calibrs , not enough pellet choice , then stuck to 177s very accurate , easy to service etc
got a 12 year old action and barrel in mint condition, still had factory grease everywhere,or did have , fitted it with a laminate adjustable stock , lightweight cylinder, older style moderator , it’s quite, and nice and light, if I had the money I would have done the bottle conversion, perhaps another day👍

Not yet, no, I’m going to nip down to my local shop and pick up a T and an S full length version just to make sure, if they are happy with a deposit, I’ll order a T full length version in green then wait for 8 months -
Surplus Store website says they have them in stock......may just need to look around

Thanks, Bloke from HC said a few may be kicking about, realistically I need a few months before I can pay for it, might save a bit then see where I am in a few months time, nice to know though 👍

Edit: just had a look, I can only see the KT versions

I am or was looking at an AA510 of some description but after having a look further I’m quite liking the HW100

So seeing as I’m a bit light on the Weihrauch front I’m probably going to for either a 100 or a 110 - which brings me onto the next question

100 or 110??

spec wise not sure yet on wood, black or green synthetic - like them all

Would prefer pic rail and full length rather than a K version. - solely due to shot count

any advantages or disadvantages on the 100 vs110 options

I know several members between them probably have the entire range of them
Other than 22 v 177 or springer v PCP, the old 100 v 110 has been done to death 💀
Never had a 100 but they get great reviews.
Had a 110 for about 3 years it’s great.
The magazine gets a few bad marks but after a while it’s a piece of P.
Mine had the black ST stock but I had done by Nath to a nice blue.
I don’t think if you have either you’ll be disappointed.
My favourite is the Ultra MMC so I’ve it no idea really 🤩

I have both the 100 and 110 (2 off).

I have owned the 100KT the longest and I can see why so many rave about it. It really is a great piece of engineering that oozes refinement in a number of ways. Mine had the A&M works done so it is lighter and holds more shots. In it's standard form, it is a little big and heavy to carry all day on a hunt. It is just too nice to do those dirty jobs like ratting or getting it bruised.

My first 110 was the full size sporter in .20cal only to find it is near identical in length to the shorter version - the 100KT. I loved the tactical slant and the soft rubberised stock. It was nicely different and it was far more comfortable compared to a wooden stock. The 110 was lighter but it was the length that I didn't like and so I replaced it with a secondhand 110KS in .177. I liked it so much that I special ordered a .20cal version and that was even more satisfying. The 110KS is an amazing rifle to go mooching on a hunt. It is so light and so compact it is a take anywhere hunting rifle.

Side by side, the 100 and the 110 are quite different. The design brief was different and for that, I prefer the 110. I agree the 110 is a lesser rifle compared to the 100 but sometimes it feels like the wrong tool for certain jobs. You just don't take a Rolls Royce to Farmfoods even though you have one even though both will still carry your shopping home.

There is a time and place for each of these rifles. They are different and there is a price difference. I like the practicality of the 110. The short and light dimensions makes handling a breeze and I actually like the way it fires with a 'dock'. I have had all these rifles for over 3 years and they have all performed faultlessly.

The special edition is only available has a kt they are only doing 300 of them 100 in 22 and 200 in 177 so they won't be about long so if you want one beg steal or borrow or you may be disappointed ;)

I bought a 110 brand new after 3 weeks the loading mechanism started rattling a bit they made out of plastic the 100 is all metal, the end fixture for the stock is really poor on the 110 compared to the 100 .Definitely get the 100 it’s £200 dearer new and worth every penny.I hope this isn’t against the rules but I have a 100 t (long barrel) it’s laminate stock adjustable check rest for sale,I am going to put on the forum for sale today hopefully or tomorrow, but in my opinion don’t get a 110,personally I would buy the HFT 500 had both but the 500 is lot louder with no muffler 👍
