Making use of stuff you already have.

Ok as a relative newcomer back to airgunning in the last 6 months after retiring and hankering back to nostalgic days with my BSA. Range time has been useful. But. Popping down into the woods, means shooting in the real world and obviously shooting does not involve a bench, and trees move a bit in the wind, so are not always useful to rest on. Had a look at shooting bi pods and tripods, but don't want to spend lots of Dosh on something that maybe I can't use. It seems all of the products have v shaped or u shaped rests for the rifle, but these would not be suitable for use by a Springer, if you have gotten use to artillery hold etc, so wonder why they don't have flat plates on the top. So I thought why not make use of camera tripod. Just tapped a piece of steel, popped some foam on the top, and a bit of felt for comfort. Hey ho, a stable shooting rest. It could be improved with wider plate, better foam etc, but this actually works.
