I use contact lenses for shooting now, works a treatI've been wearing glasses for some years now, both for distance and reading, so two different pairs. I've always managed to shoot without my glasses on, I try to buy scopes with clearer glass so as to assist with what I can see and up to know I've had no problem shooting without my glasses. Haven't been to the range for a few months as I sold my car to save bit of money and so haven't been able to get there. But today I managed to get a couple of hours shooting in at my favourite range. Age must be starting to grip me as today I found that wearing my glasses while shooting gave me much better sight picture. In fact. when I took them off and looked through the scope, what I could see was nowhere near as clear as it was some months ago. So looks like shooting has become something else that I need my glasses for...............
It's when you're talking away with them and reference a TV show, film, or song that EVERYBODY knows, but they look dumbfounded and you realise it was from 5 years before they were born...The first time I ever felt I was getting on a bit was when a new lad started at my work, and the t-shirt I was wearing was older than he was.

I must admit that I nearly clopped him one when he said (after I’d mentioned that I’d bought my Prodigy shirt before he was a spark in his Daddy’s eye) that he bet I could remember when Kurt Cobain was still alive! It's when you're talking away with them and reference a TV show, film, or song that EVERYBODY knows, but they look dumbfounded and you realise it was from 5 years before they were born...
And guns……when old cars excite you more than new ones do?
