OK. So who owned one of these back in the day? My dad bought one of these for me at the age of 12. 47 years ago. And let me loose up the garden. I can still remember the New Air Gun and grease smell, and unscrewing the pellet probe to load it.
Yeah I had one at around 10 my older brother gave me it!
I can remember lining up can’s in the back garden and also shooting the darts with different colours to see who was closest the centre of a target drawn on a cardboard box.
Great memories.
I had two and often dual wielded with my rambo knife in its sheath on my hip aged 12. I once shot my mate on the forhead at a distance of about 30 yds with the gun at about a 45 degree angle I shit you not . Happy days and I grew up reasonably normal.
My very first gun .I loved it and still have a soft spot for the Gat .Id love a boxed one .Some of my fondest childhood memories involved playing in the woods with my mates with a Gat stuck in my snake belt and a Bowie knife .Great days and a different world
I had one when I around 14 and used to go to the shop occasionally during lunchtime to buy marksman pellets for it when I’d lost my prized darts,I’ve got a copy one down the shed which I show to airgun fans and talk old times, them plastic darts are rubbish compared to the old ones.
I think it's part of an air gunners rite of passage . I've got a couple, one older black one without the safety and scalloped grip, the other is an very early chromed one with metal front tube. Got as a non firer but have resealed it and it's now very powerful and accurate. Not ......dom
I found one stashed under a bridge at the bottom of my street when I was a kid, had a few darts with it, I put holes all over my parents house with it the bit that shot out did more damage than whatever was fired out of it.
I recall my Grandma having either one of those or something very similar. I remember shooting little darts with feathers on the back or something at a dartboard. Still have no idea why she had one in her cigarette cupboard but she did
